Enabling Impact:
The Animal Advocacy Ops Collective
A Community for Ops+ Peers in Farmed Animal Advocacy
In the vegan and animal advocacy movement, operations professionals are the engine behind the mission - keeping organizations running smoothly, sustainably, and strategically. But let’s be honest: being “in operations” often means wearing every hat at once.
You’re responding to people’s needs, managing financial activity, ensuring legal compliance, maintaining systems, reducing risk and solving unexpected problems - sometimes all in a single day. On top of that, you’re shaping internal culture, promoting wellbeing to prevent burnout, reimagining how teams work together, and exploring how AI can support your mission.
It’s a complex mix of responsibilities and specialties - all of it essential, and much of it out of sight.
To support, strengthen and celebrate this critical leadership, PEPR created 'Enabling Impact: The Animal Advocacy Ops Collective' - an Operations+ Community for the Farmed Animal & Vegan Advocacy Movement - a collaborative space for connection, shared insights, and collective impact.
Who This Community Is For
Rather than just “Operations,” we use the term “Ops+” to include positions that cover operations, HR, finance, administration, internal systems, or other functions that enable their organization to run effectively and strategically.
We welcome Ops+ professionals at all career stages who are currently working within farmed animal and vegan advocacy organizations, across a wide range of sizes and geographies.
If your role focuses on operations, HR, finance, administration, internal systems, or organizational infrastructure, this space is likely a good fit for you.
What This Community Offers
Based on stakeholder feedback, Enabling Impact offers three main channels for engagement that should feel relevant, low-burden, and high-impact:
1. Peer Groups (Next cohort: Jan–Jun 2026)
We assemble small, curated groups of Ops+ professionals for facilitated calls every other month. If you join, we’ll ask for a 6-month commitment (3 sessions) so the group can build trust and continuity. This is a space to bring your real day-to-day challenges, share tools and insights, and get support from people who truly understand your role.
We host different groups across various time zones to make these as accessible as possible, no matter where you’re located.
2. Ops Labs
We also host topic-focused, webinar-style sessions with a strong emphasis on practical implementation and Q&A. Rather than just sharing best practices, we talk about addressing common blockers and actually making these ideas work in your unique organizational context.
Potential topics include AI, budgeting, decision-making frameworks, strategic planning, and people strategy.
3. In-Person Gatherings
In addition to online programming, we host in-person gatherings at major conferences where possible (for example, VARC, AVA, and others). These are simple meetups designed to put faces to names and give members dedicated space to learn from each other in person.

A Note on Confidentiality
We’re committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for open dialogue. While this is a space for honest exchange and shared learning, confidential or sensitive matters should not be discussed within the community. For more complex or confidential needs, PEPR offers free one-on-one support to farmed animal and vegan advocacy organizations. We’ll also provide clear community guidelines ahead of all discussions.
Building a Safe, Trust-First Community
To honor participants’ feedback — and in service of creating a genuinely supportive, peer-driven space — this community is currently open only to individuals working in internal Ops+ roles within farmed-animal and vegan-advocacy organizations eligible for PEPR’s support programs. Keeping the group focused in this way helps nurture psychological safety, strengthen trust, and invite open, honest exchange.
For now, we’re not including external consultants or other service providers, allowing participants to share openly and speak freely. To uphold these values and ensure the space serves its intended purpose, PEPR reserves the right to determine community participation. As the community evolves and we continue learning from members, we may thoughtfully welcome a wider circle over time.
